Rome is a city of Roman history. And the biggest most significant historical place in Rome, you guessed it right, is the Colosseum – especially the underground.
But why? Well, an ordinary Colosseum tour takes you inside, shows you around and that is it.
But you miss a very big chunk of the real secret history of the Colosseum if you don’t visit the underground.
These areas are not available to regular ticket owners.
This tour is designed for curious souls. If you are one of them – let’s go underground!
On this tour, during 2.5 hours you will witness every inch of the magnificent Colosseum.
No more secret or the inaccessible areas will remain closed to you after this.
Why at night though?
Rome is calm and more romantic at night. On the other hand, the underground areas feel more mysterious and exciting with a little darkness.
Romantrips has a daytime version of this tour as well. It’s up to you when you wanna go.

The guide had a lot of knowledge about this tour. And he did an excellent job at explaining. But I did not get the time to visit the palatine hills because of bad tour planning on my part. Next time!
The 3 of us had great pleasure visiting the colosseum. One looked like a fool because he did not the place is this great, the other two are laughing. Lol. All of us were surprised, intrigued and happy at the same time.
The place is big and beautiful. What an attraction. I was smiling throughout the whole trip. My 14 year old daughter also realized how historically significant the colosseum is. Great job by the guide.
The host was so nice and almost made us feel as if we were some type of VIPS. Great tour, magnificent place. 7 star experience.
One of my favourite places in the whole wide world.
It is very nice experience but without the guide we would have missed a lot really, the colosseum is not small!
The guide was friendly, pleasant and knew the colosseum very well. This is the most significant in Rome and colosseum is the most significant part of Roman history. Some of the other tourists wanted to move and move while I was more interested learn about the history.
